Rescued in Time
A Phoenix, AZ construction company's GOMACO curb & gutter machine was pouring Friday afternoon when loose bolts gave way while doing a turn radius — twisting the leg assembly and frame.
Neither a California fabrication company nor the OEM could deliver a replacement in less than 10 days.

Sun Mountain Equipment had the solution in inventory. We needed only 2.5 hours to deliver a frame tube and parts with equivalent serial numbers.

Monday's pour went as scheduled — no sub-contractor, no delay.

Working for the Weekend
Saturday 6 AM calls ≠ good news.

A customer's machine made a radius turn at full extension, breaking the leg assembly on a concrete paver. They needed a new leg and a new tube, pronto.
We had the connections to source a new leg and hot shot it to Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque for Monday. They were up & running by noon Tuesday.
Win: Averting a $200K down-time loss for the client.

Service with a Smile
A customer had mechanics working for 3 days on a GOMACO paver, thinking they had a flow valve issue. After a long and futile hydraulic struggle, they called Rodd for help.

It was Sunday morning.
Rodd's contact - a skilled technician - arrived on the scene and worked to reach both clarification and resolution... in time for Monday's contract to be fulfilled. Mission accomplished.
A Part with No Name
Sun Mountain Equipment rocks the conversations that begin with, "I need that thing..."
In this case, within 24 hours the customer was on the receiving end of the right mounting brackets in a complete hold-down assembly.
After determining what "that thing" was, we went to the yard where we had one in stock, including the cylinder. Their machine sat in Texas and they happened to have a runner headed for New Mexico, so getting it to them next day? No problem. We assembled it, put it on the truck, and made the drop.

Rebuild vs Replace
Rodd walked with a customer through their yard in late 2024 and noticed several broken rock drills, chippers, and paving breakers.
"That's lost revenue... I know a guy. What if we rebuild them for you?"

A short time later, Omar was in possession of the less-than-stellar collection. He went to work on APT models 117 (TJ-15) and 190 (TS-55) sold by Tamco. Each machine got a complete overhaul — disassembly, inspection of all parts / components, cleaning, new parts, lubrication, and rebuild — followed by a fresh coat of paint.
Sundt Construction is now in possession of a full fleet of like-new machines at better than 50% savings vs replacement. That's winning.
